Het Familiefonds – The Kolff Family Fund
Wouter writes about this fund that has been created to help members of the association in case they need financial assistance. It can also fund other activities, such as research or publications, that are useful to the family in general. Any member that wants to apply to this fund for a donation can apply for this with the board. (Wouter Kolff, treasurer, CBCB XVIIIp4)
Saskia has studied fashion at several institutions, last being the London Academy of Art where she studied theatre wardrobe. As such she worked for several Dutch theatre and ballet companies. Later, until her first child was born, she worked for the NGO Memisa, where she met her husband Tim. Presently she is happily occupying herself as a driver to her three children and her two dogs. This is part 2 of the story of the Kolffs at Middelharnis. This article has been placed on this website at its History (Geography) section (in Dutch, translation to follow soonest). (Dirk Kolff, archivist, CBCA XVIIIn)
Research on Kolffs trading activities along the rivers Waal and IJssel has been concluded for the time being. An article was published about this in De Colve XI (2006). New research is done on the roots of Wouter Colf (approx. 1500-1572): he may have come from Gorinchem. If this has been the case many presumptions could now be seen as wrong. (Dirk Kolff, CBCA XVIIIn)
New at the site is a History section at which articles from De Colve and new material has been placed. (Marius Kolff, CBCD XVIIm4)
